On behalf of the Rotary Club of Pen, a sanitary pad disposal machine was installed on 29th September 2024 at the government hostel for tribal girls, inaugurated by former Mayor, Honorable Preetam Tai Patil. She was present as the chief guest for the event. Also present were social workers Mohini Tai Gore, Nishigandha Gund, and numerous honorable Rotary members. While addressing the girls, Honorable Preetam Tai Patil shared the example of our President, Honorable Droupadi Murmu, emphasizing that tribal girls can also advance in every field . As part of the program, social worker Mrs. Mohini Tai Gore was present. She provided excellent guidance to the tribal girls on how they should be brave and take responsibility for their own safety in the current times. She emphasized the importance of learning activities like karate and boxing to help them face situations without fear. For this event, Rotary Club of Pen President Sanyogita Temghare, Secretary Madhubala Nikam, Treasurer Jayesh Shah, Past Presidents Mitesh Shah, Jayant Apte, Rohan Manore, and Rotary members and other Rotary members were present. While speaking, President Sanyogita Temghare mentioned that she intends to implement various innovative initiatives for environmental conservation. She also expressed her commitment to making efforts to nurture the creativity and mindset of these girls and to help them overcome their fears of engaging with society. The program received valuable support from Mansi Patil, the warden of the government hostel for tribal girls, and the students themselves, ensuring its successful execution.
