District 3131 has initiated a Water Management Project 2024-2025 and Rotary Club of Pune Central is participating as one of the 15 Rotary Clubs who will be involved in this project. Thanks to generous financial contribution from Rtn Giri Sakhrani of Rotary Club of Pune Central for this Project, we are working with the ‘Learn and Play school’ in Girmi (Daund). The objective is to involve students who will be trained and participate actively to collect data in their designated area. Data collected will be entered and analysed digitally. This will help students to learn and appreciate the water and soil conditions in their area as well as be trained in using the various testing equipment. Periodic online training, mentorship and Field visits by various experts will be held It will also create Leaders in water management on the field. The introductory session was held in August 2024 and a Practical workshop held at Pune in September 2024, where the school was provided with necessary kits and tools like rain gauge and other chemicals. The students were extremely enthusiastic. Report submission & assessment will be conducted till Feb 25 and an Award Function will be held in March 2025. The Principal of ‘Learn & Play school’, Daund has sent a beautiful letter of appreciation for the donation by Rtn Giri Sakhrani.
