The Rotary Club of Pune Central (RCPC) has launched a wonderful initiative called District Project - Chatrachaya, aimed at providing umbrellas to street vendors to shield them from the scorching sun and rain. Thanks to the generosity of Rtn. Rakesh Makhija, Rtn. Nitin Rajore, and Rtn. Ajay Dubey, who have sponsored 5, 5, and 10 umbrellas respectively, 20 umbrellas have been collected and paid for [RCPC announcement]. This project is not only providing much-needed protection to street vendors but also empowering them to continue their livelihood without interruptions due to weather conditions. Most of the umbrellas have already been distributed to needy street vendors, and photos of the happy recipients are available.
