RCPD has sponsored 6 girls in the first batch and 4 Girls in the second batch of Patient Care Nursing Training Course organised by Anjuman Islam Polytechnic for Girls. This is a certificate course for six months . Three months theory and three months Hospital training program.The faculty for this course includes Matron Pillay who has recently retired after 35 years of service from Ruby Hall Clinic. For this course we have sponsored girls from Darode Mala wasti of Koregaon Park and Tadiwala vasti.The course is in Marathi with a total duration of six months . Minimum qualification required is VIII class passed.The host Institute has already identified a few hospitals for practical experience. They have assured 100% job guarantee for these girls. The course has already started on 15 October 2015. We visited the Anjuman-i-Islam Institute and handed over our sponsorship cheque to the Principal at a brief ceremony. The Immediate Past First Lady of our District R’ann Chandra Aranha graced the occasion. Our Rotary Club was represented by Rtn President Supriya Banerjea, R’ann Poroochi Batliwala, R’ann Manju Mookerji, Rtn Pinki Mehmi, Rtn Mandakini Tata andMeena Latey.
