Rotary Club of Poona West and Karve Institute of Social Service jointly organized a two day “Summer Camp” for the children from the socio economically deprived sections of the society. The summer Camp was organized on 23rd &24th April 2010. 50 children from Karve Nagar community participated in this “Summer Camp”. The children were from Gosavi wasti, Shramik Vasahat and Lakshminagar these three communities are situated around Karve Institute of Social Service. The objective of the summer camp was to provide entertainment, Value Education, skill enhancement and knowledge building for the children from the community who are otherwise deprived of these opportunities due to socio economic factors.
