PREVENTION OF FEMALE FOETICIDE, RCPD’S CSR PROJECT While RCPD has focused on WOMEN EMPOWERMENT in this Rotary year, we are trying to tackle the issue from various aspects. Prevention of Female Foeticide is a project to bring awareness among the people, both men and women, both in rural and urban areas against the killing of girl child in the womb, before she sees the light of this world. This is a problem among the rich and the poor. We are doing this project with Foseco India Ltd and KEM Hospital Research Centre. Foseco India Ltd has sponsored the project under their CSR scheme. KEM Research Centre has started the project from January, 2016. On Saturday,20 January, 2016, a Workshop was organised by KEM Research Centre for training the social workers who would go to the rural areas to spread the message among the village people. They designed pamphlets, posters flip charts as tools of spreading the message. From our club President Supriya and Rtn.Pallavi attended the program. It was a very well-planned training program where almost 30-40 social workers were trained.
