A blood donation camp was conducted at Institute of Biotechnology and Bio Informatics, University of Pune on 21st April. Dr Bora of Ruby Hall Blood Bank along with his team of 9 technicians and nurses had made a very organised setup with six beds for the donors. The camp started at 9.00 AM with the first donor at 9.30. A total of 67 Units of blood was collected during the day till 4 PM. The students had come to the camp in good numbers even though the temperature was very high and lot of departments had preparatory leave for the final exams. Rtn Rajesh Gupta, Rtn Pinky Mehmi, Rtn Shashank Jauhri, President Supriya Banerjee, Rtn Anil Latey and R’Ann Meena Latey were present at the camp. There was also a very dedicated team of volunteers from the Institute totalling 10 in number but with very high participation from their friends also! Special thanks to Dr Ameeta Ravikumar for making all the arrangements at the department’s seminar room and for supervising it.
