Large no. of students leave schools in India. One of the important reasons being lack of sanitary facilities in the schools. Sanitation, and hygiene education in schools commonly known as WASH in schools, provides improved sanitation facilities and hygiene education. We as a service partner with Help of Rotary club of Kamothe constructed 4 toilets + 4 urinals for Boys at New english school Kamothe . Most of there children and families are from underprivileged strata of the society, who do not have the access to private schools with better facilities. Students of schools operated by Zilla Parishad, Gram Panchayats and Panvel Municipal Council and Karjat, Pen, Mangaon, Khopoli & Kharghar. Project consisted of following things:-- - Provision of Toilet blocks, wash basins - Sanitary education to children - Co-operation with Local Self Government Agencies for maintenance of these utilities. - Regular visits of Rotarians to the sites to ensure proper use and cleanliness.
