BOOKSHARE is a multinational e-publishing company that publishes e-books for the Blind people and also for those who are disabled to read printed books like some Autistic people. These people read those books listening to them word by word and page by page from the computers. Ms.Zainab Chinikamwala, a blind lady from Pune works as the Indian Representative of this company. Her ambition is to get Indian Books as well as Books in Regional Languages of India to be digitized for the Blind to help the Blind people in India. She came to our club to give a presentation to instill awareness among people about the need of such publication for the Blind.She also asked for support from our club. Accordingly our Club has agreed to support in the e-publication of Std.XII Marathi medium Text Books for the Blind students. Seven Text Books have been identified to be published in the first phase and the work has to be complete before the new session starts. Our Club is getting the work done through The Citi Computers and the editing will be done by Bookshare to produce a perfect series of Marathi medium e-books for the Blind.
