Global Grant Project : Partners : RC Zofingen Switzerland RID 1980 , RC Ellwangen Germany RID 1830, RC Warsop UK RID1220. This is a continuing project (total duration : 4 years). Initiated: 01/01/ 2015. RC Poona received a Global Grant of $155450(GG no.: 1420810). About 25% of this amount is being spent every year ie expenditure of $38862 in 2016-17(Rs.26 lakhs at the ruling exchange rate). The main objective is Soil and water conservation, treating the sloping areas of land to check the run off of water and the soil therewith, to enable farming. Total scope : 180 hectare of hilly land. Direct benefits to 50 families(300 persons). Work for 2016-17 is already under way and, at this stage, can be taken as "achieved".
