Inter district Synergy service project of RI districts 3131 and 3060 Six clubs from district 3131 namely RC Pune Karvenagar, Sinhgad road, Wisdom, Riverside, Camp and Dehu road and three clubs from 3060 namely Dhulia, Dhule Crossroad and Nadurbar came together to provide medical checkup and treatment, veterinary checkups and vaccinations, giving blankets, clothes, toys , books to tribal communities living deep inside Satpuda mountain range in central part of India a very remote and inaccessible area called Vellikhedi and Panbari in Nandurbar district , around 650 kms. away from Pune . Eighteen Rotarians , anns, annettes from 3131 and ten from district 3060 conducted a two day service camp for tribals . We also provided community lunch for 600 tribals on the eve of Diwali festival . We got a grand traditional welcome at the border of the village . The project was possible with cooperation from Non rotary partner BIAF who are working in this area since decades on providing sustainable means of livelihood . All put together we spent approx. 2200 manhours in three days to provide the service to humanity. It was a very eye opening and satisfying experience for all Rotarians and families to work 650 kms. away from home and reach the most deserving beneficiaries .
