ROTARY CLUB OF AKURDI - PUNE with ISCKON, Nigdi had arranged charity show to support the Mid Day Meal Program. ISKCON Nigdi has been lending out selfless service to the Human Society by running the midday meal program for govt. aided school since last 3 years. Presently 16617 school children are nurtured daily with nutritious and sumptuous meal under the midday meal program in PCMC area. And more than 14 lac children all over India. The tireless effort of midday meal program has given us the opportunity to feed 50,000 Children in PCMC but due to lack of resources (Boilers, Kitchen Equipment etc) has put on hold our reach to needy kids. Rotary Club of Akurdi members donated Rs. 2,66,000=00 to support this noble cause. And total fund raised from community is more than Rs. 12 lacs. This is indeed great start for the year. This was possible only because of generous donors from Rotary family & Community. DG Rtn. Dr. Deepak Purohit & PCMC Mayor Aparnaji Doke were Chief Guest for the program. Mayor Aparnaji Doke, District Governer Rtn. Dr. Deepak Purohit with Ann Veenaji and renowned Industrialists, Builders from PCMC enjoyed the bhajans for more than 2 hours. Anup Jalotaji started with his famous Bhajan "Aisi Lagi Lagan" and fully packed auditorium gave thundering applause which continued till end of the program.
